Scottsdale to welcome City Winery’s signature pours and live shows

What could be better than enjoying great live music in a relaxed dining space inside a working winery? That’s exactly what City Winery promises—and it’s something we can look forward to when it opens in late 2027.

The NYC-born concept recently signed a lease at The Sydney, a new development along Scottsdale’s Loop 101 Entertainment Corridor, bringing with it a unique mix of wine, food, and live entertainment. Founder Michael Dorf says Scottsdale “checked all the boxes,” envisioning a space where artists, cuisine, and wine share equal billing.

At its core, City Winery is an urban winery with a polished yet welcoming vibe, swapping plastic cups for Riedel Vinum stemware and serving a chef-driven menu in both its restaurant and 350-seat theater.

There’s also a 100-person private event space, adding flexibility to the venue.

Beyond the wine and food—where fan-favorite burgers pair perfectly with a bottle of Bordeaux—it doubles as an intimate concert space, combining big-stage production with a close-up experience that makes every show feel personal.
